We’re excited to welcome the Class of 2030 to Desert Vista Football! To help players and parents get ready for an amazing start to high school football, we’ve put together this quick guide to your DV Football To‑Do’s. Completing these steps early ensures your athlete is informed, cleared, and ready to hit the field with confidence.

1. Complete the Freshman Registration Form

Start by filling out our DV Football Registration Form. This allows us to gather important player and parent contact information.

2. Get Your Player Cleared Through Aktivate

All athletes must be fully cleared through Aktivate (formerly Register My Athlete). This includes uploading a current AIA sports physical, signing district forms, and completing all required paperwork.
Clearing your athlete early ensures they can participate come August when official season practices begin.

3. Stay Connected With Team Communication

Sign up and download the InstaTeam app. This is the communications platform for DV Football, where we share everything from schedules to events to last‑minute updates. Staying connected is the best way to keep your player prepared and informed.

4. Join Spring Skills Workshops & Freshman Camps

Incoming freshmen are encouraged to participate in our spring youth academy sessions, and freshman‑focused camps. These activities help athletes build fundamentals, meet coaches, connect with future teammates, and begin learning DV’s football systems.

5. Support DV Football Through Fry’s Community Rewards

2026 Freshman Football Calendar

The 2026 Freshman Football Calendar is your go‑to planning resource for the upcoming season. Freshman Meeting Presentation

Our Freshman Meeting Presentation gives players and families a first look at what it means to be part of the DV Thunder program. This session covers our program’s culture, core values, player expectations, the spring, pre‑season, and in‑season commitment, and the standards that define Thunder Football. You’ll also meet our coaching staff, learn about the role of our Booster Club, and get an overview of the opportunities, support systems, and experiences available to every athlete.

This presentation is designed to help new families feel informed, connected, and ready to begin their journey with DV Football.

🏈💙 Get Involved: DV Football Family Volunteers 💙🏈

DV Football thrives because of the incredible support from our parents, families, and community. Game days don’t just happen—they’re powered by volunteers who help create an unforgettable experience for our players, coaches, and fans . Whether you prefer helping behind the scenes or want to be right in the middle of the action, there truly is something for everyone ⭐.

We encourage every family to volunteer for at least three games per season. Your time and energy make a meaningful difference and help keep our program strong.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • 🍽️ Team Meals
    Help organize, prepare, or serve meals for our teams on game days or special events 🥗🍝.
  • 🌭 Concessions
    Assist with setup, sales, or cleanup in the concession stand—an essential part of the game‑day atmosphere 🍿🥤.
  • 🏈 Chain Gang
    Be on the field during games, helping move the down markers and chains ⛓️. This role offers a great, up‑close view of the action 👀🔥.
  • ⚡ Thunderdome Crew
    Help set up and run the tunnel before Varsity games, creating an electric entrance and high‑energy environment for our players 🎧🎶💥.
  • 🎓 Senior Night Committee
    Support one of our most special traditions by helping plan and execute Senior Night celebrations 🎉📸.

    From field setup and breakdown 🧹 to special events 🎈 and behind‑the‑scenes support 🙌, additional opportunities are always available to match different interests and schedules.
