Coach Crowl

Coach Crowl has spent twenty-nine years coaching high school football.  His first four were at Marcos De Niza in Tempe and the past 25 years at Desert Vista. Currently, he has coached both the freshman and JV levels.  He has been an offensive and defensive coordinator and most recently has served as the head JV coach for the past 23 years.  Also, Coach Crowl is the head Varsity Softball coach as well the Freshman Wrestling coach and teaches in the 


Griffin Reding

After spending four years playing football and earning a degree in Communications at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, Reding moved to Phoenix in 2018 and joined Coach Wisdom at Horizon as a defensive assistant. Jay Carter

Coach Carter is in his 12th year of coaching football as well as track and field. He is Desert Vista’s Running Back and Linebacker Freshman Coach.  Coach Carter’s coaching positions also include: Mountain Pointe Freshman Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the AZ Saints Youth Mentorship Program where the program took the 11U and 13U NYS/AYF State Championship in 2018 and 2020.  He was the Varsity Sprint Coach at Mountain Pointe HS in 2019 and also Sprint Coach for the AZ Track Stars Youth Club. Ryan Delaney

Ryan was a multi-year starter at Quarterback for Fort Madison High School in Iowa where he broke several school, conference and district passing records.  He was a coach at Horizon High School prior to coming to Desert Vista. Ryan is a Vice President in the Commercial Banking Group at US Bank, which serves the bank’s middle market clients.  He has over 16 years of experience in banking, with most of that experience being at US Bank with Commercial Banking clients.  Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in (more…)
